Lane Leather Sofas Lane Home Furnishings began in 1912 as Standard Red Cedar Chest Company, manufacturing cedar chests in Altavista, Virginia. For almost 40 years, the company made nothing but chests. In 1951, they expanded to make occasional tables, then casegoods and accent pieces. In the early 1970s, Lane bought a small reclining chair company in Tupelo, Mississippi and began manufacturing furniture. Through tremendous growth in market share and product diversification, Lane Home Furnishings has grown to become one of the leaders in home furnishings. Lane Furniture Industries is now owned by Furniture Brands International which also owns such well-known brands as Broyhill, Thomasville, Drexel Heritage and Maitland Smith. Lane Furnishings prides itself on its quality-made and comfortable home furnishings. Lane manufactures a wide variety of styles of leather sofas and loveseats. Most Lane sofas have matching chairs, loveseats and ottomans available. Currently, Lane makes about 25 different models. Lane sofas can be custom ordered in both different leather colors and textures, such as hand-wiped smooth leather and pebble-grain nubuck. The Eason is a casual contemporary model leather sofa. It features oversize arms and extra padding in the cushions for a relaxing experience. The Cavalli is a fresh, modern casual-contemporary design. It has heavily-padded arms with stylish stitching treatments and an exposed wing. The Memphis model is part of Lane's Urban contemporary collection. This beautiful, contemporary design is versatile enough to suit many different home decors. It features clean lines and subtle shaping. A matching loveseat is available. Lane's Malabar leather sofa is a plush and comfortable model that is designed to be stylish and tailored. It features a very inviting 3-over-3 seating with pillow top seats. Arms and back cushions are heavily padded. Back cushions wrap around and over. The Pasadena model sofa features a unique, subtle cut-back arm treatment that flows into the exposed back rail of the sofa for a stunning appearance. This model is accented with antique nailhead trim and windowpane stitching on the seats and backs.
